Nandi's Madhu Mallika

Handrolled from a charcoal base, then rolled in a brown masala powder, and also perfume dipped. The flowery perfume is quite heady on the stick. The Nandi brand is made by B.V Aswathaiah & Bros of Bangalore. The company was founded in 1936, and has six production units with a capacity for making 1000 tons a year. That's a lot of incense! Madhu Mallika is one of their main products. I can't remember where I got this pack from - it doesn't appear to be readily available online in the UK. Shame, as this has a pleasing and heady sweet flowery perfume on burning, which really brightens up a room.  I'd be OK about buying this again.

Madhu means honey or sweet, and is often used as a girl's name. Mallika is jasmine, so the name means Sweet Jasmine, and that sounds about right!
