Joie Sea Breeze

I really like this. Soft grey/light brown appearance, almost masala like; seems to be machine made - very tight and regular, with a smear down the stick. It burns with a soothing and evocative warm scent.

Best rose incense

Flowers are a popular source for perfume and incense, and rose, with its rich, heady scent, is a very common choice. Gulab is the name in Persian and Hindi for rose. Rose scent, such as rose petals in water, and rose scented sweets, such as Turkish delight, have long been popular in countries associated with the Persian Empire. Most rose scents are based on the damask rose, which is the main rose distilled for attars and essential oils. Synthetic rose scents combine several ingredients in order to replicate the complex natural fragrance of the damask rose.

Joie Jasmine

A little hot and crude. There is a jasmine aroma, but it's not flowery and delicate - it's crude, heavy and hot. Not a great incense stick, but OK for covering up bad odours.

I think I was a little harsh when first reviewing this. I've burnt some more, and while the aroma does incline toward hot, there is also some heady floral notes which are quite pleasant.

Emporium Dream Catcher Cannabis

There are several companies offering a cannabis scented incense - all of them are poor quality, and all are pretty much the same. Thin charcoal paste mildly scented of pine, mint, and benzoin resin. The aroma is basic woody - a little harsh and hot. Not offensive, but pretty much a waste of time.

Emporium Dream Catcher Magnolia

Tightly rolled from charcoal paste onto undyed sticks. Burns evenly for a long time. The scent is actually quite reasonable, which surprised me as it comes from the Emporium stable. I've previously had poor experiences with Emporium, who seem to concentrate on cheap rather than quality. This scent is warm, woody, musky, with some deep floral notes. Not high and sharp, but big, glossy and rounded. A decent everyday incense.

They distribute incense, and also have their own brands which are made in India and Thailand. Among their brands are Divine Spirit and the small Spiritual Sky. They tend to be at the budget end of the market, offering retailers an option of cheaply made and novelty incense for customers who simply wish for something basic, though they also sell masala incense.
