Asoka Love in Life Incense Sticks Rose

Part of a pack of six different boxes each containing eight sticks, bought cheaply from a gift shop. The boxes do not give any information of the maker, though the inside wrapper says Asoka Trading Co. One of the boxes says Made in China, though Asoka are based in Bangalore. One of the boxes is trade marked as Shashi Industries. The sticks are all made the same - very neatly rolled charcoal and sandalwood paste onto pink dyed bamboo sticks, and then dipped in perfume. These are your standard everyday budget sticks in which there is little sense of the named scent, and what you mainly get is the aroma of the burning base material.

The sticks do burn quite well - slow and even. They are tightly and neatly rolled. It could almost be machine made, except there are faints signs of twisting.

This is the most pleasant of the pack so far. It has a mild sweetness, and inclines toward powdery floral, and could be described as faintly rose like. It is mainly wood paste, but the floral notes do come through.
