This is an attractively woody scent - probably a bit more cedar wood than sandalwood (which is an OK thing). Quite rich, woody, and evocative. Neatly rolled onto plain sticks with a little loose powder. As with all of Paul Eagle's incense, the claim of 3-4 hours burning is for the total 10g pack, not the individual sticks. This is a pleasant, clean incense. Not quite heavenly as the scent is fairly direct and straightforward, but certainly quite decent. There is a hint of halmaddi about this, but not enough to irritate my eyes and throat - just enough to add some interest.

I like to get out a Happy Hari now and again. Paul Eagle was such a maverick, that, for me, there is a romance attached to his incense - more so than any other distributor. I don't think all the incense he imported is great, but I like having some around the house. This is not one of the great incenses, but it's good enough.
I crumbly charcoal paste has been crudely hand rolled onto a plain bamboo splint and then dusted with a finishing powder (melnoorva) to dry it off. The scent is wood - more fragrant cedar than sandalwood. It's sweet with little warm spice notes. The aroma on the burn is satisfyingly woody, though less sweet than on the stick. It's a warm, pleasant, moderately dry and modestly spicy scent. Likeable and comforting without being exciting. OK as a decent quality everyday incense.
