Gosh this is very candy sweet and highly perfumed. It's very yummy, and it fills the room with pleasure and sweet lightness. This is not for those who like their incense to be serious or natural - it is a modern perfumed incense and reminds me of foil-wrapped incense. It is a machine made incense - a wood-based paste, quite firm and dry, has been extruded onto a machine cut bamboo stick, and the whole has been perfumed. The stick itself has a chemical scent, slightly like cardboard, a bit like wool, it is quite dour. But the incense comes to life with the burn, which is so light and joyful. It burns well, and illuminates the room with sweet joy. It does betray its chemical content if you draw the smoke toward you, so this is best just left in the room to make the place dance and sing. Not an incense to study or use for spells or aromatherapy; this is a simple, joyful, sweet little everyday perfumed incense. Cute.
It is named after the Koh-i-Noor diamond, one of the largest diamonds in the world. It was a royal Indian diamond for hundreds of years, but was acquired by the British during the Victorian occupation of India, and has since formed part of the British Crown Jewels. What an appropriate name for such a bright and showy incense!
