Balarama Zam Zam The Lick

There's a delightful, creamy, toffee, gentle citric, perfumed aroma on the stick. Quite gorgeous, though it can get a bit cloying after a while, and I'd like something dark or bitter to provide some balance and interest. However, yes, rather compelling. There's a wide variety of scents available in Balarama's range - be it sold under the brand name Zam Zam or Kuumba, and some are more attractive than others. This is, for me, one of the more attractive scents.

As is common with perfumed incense, the fragrance on the burn is not as crisp, clear, and high as on the stick. In this case that's a plus, as the burn introduces needed woody and dark notes. It's really quite sultry and feminine. It's a sexy Arabian belly dancer of an incense. Very, very likeable in a heady, warm, sensual, sweet, creamy, dark and delicious way.  It's perhaps a tad overbearing, but I'd rather that than the opposite. It firmly takes control of the room, giving it warmth and sexuality. A good incense for the bedroom, or for when wanting to seduce a guest. Probably best to light it before the guest arrives rather than while they are present. The scent diffuses and lasts very well. And the after-scent is aphrodisiac enough, without being as crude and obvious as during the burn.
