Gokula Connoisseur Tulsi Vrinda

Sample stick from Gokula from way back (£3.95 for 20g). Tulsi and Vrinda appear to mean the same thing - both are Indian words for holy basil, which is related to sweet basil, which is commonly used in the West for cooking. Holy basil is a sacred and medicinal herb in India, regarded as the earthly  representation of the goddess Tulasi.

It is a standard masala stick with a pleasant sweet herbal aroma. The aroma is repeated in the burn - light, green, freshly herbal sweet, with notes of basil, mint, and a Mediterranean evening (mineral, citrus, warmth, honey, pine, stone).  This is a delicate and refreshing scent. Nicely done. A little dry and restrained for my personal taste, but certainly a pleasing and cleansing scent that feels natural. Nice.
