Part of the 2014 Philosophy series - a collaboration between Nagaraj Setty, boss of the Mumbai division of Satya, and Aargee, the UK distribution company who by 2014 were increasingly using the Stamford brand, which is the name under which the company continues. Fragrances in the Philosophy series that I've already reviewed are: Freedom (Score:20), Knowledge (Score: 32), Meditating Shiva (Score: 27), Laxmi's Lotus (Score: 25), and Enlightenment (Score: 25). These sticks were made during the early days of Nagaraj's split from the original Satya company. They are widely regarded as not being of good quality, and for a while damaged Satya's reputation. A long running court case between Nagaraj and Balkrishna who retained the original Satya premises over how to identify Nagaraj's products so they don't get confused with the original Satya products is still ongoing, though until it is resolved, Nagaraj has to indicate via addresses and logos that he sticks are different from those of Balkrishna Setty. At the time these sticks were made, the impression given is that they are made in the original Satya factory in Bangalore.
The scent is pleasant but unremarkable, and presents as a synthetic perfume. It's OK, but lacks depth and richness. It holds to middle notes which are vaguely sweet wood and herbs. But nothing is really defined. There is some chalk and florals on the stick, but also a cold volatility.
