Machine-made perfume-dipped charcoal incense. Some people have an extreme prejudice against such things. Shame, as they can be professionally made, decent, value for money everyday room fresheners. Such as this Intimate by Koya's Agarbathi. The perfume on the stick is a little crude and volatile and gives off the impression of a toilet cleaner or disinfectant, but at the same time is actually bright, clean, refreshing, and uplifting. There's pine and rose, moving through mint and a lemony strawberry fruit. Curious and interesting, and somehow compelling. This is either a glass half-empty or a glass half-full moment. If you're prejudiced against perfume-dipped incense, this isn't going to change your mind, unless you're able to flick that switch in your brain from half-empty to half-full. This is a decent perfumed incense. Light it up, and it's cool, minty, fresh, with a gentle underlying candy sweetness warmed with mossy musk. There's a splash of Brut about this. Yeah. Good stuff. I like it.

This is an attractive everyday perfumed incense. The accord is rather similar to Chypre - a woody, mossy, citrus style scent complex. It's quite a masculine scent - or, rather, a masculine perfume scent with mossy, woody, musky base notes lifting through subtle aromatic creamy jasmine and ylang ylang to sharp citric herby floral notes like lavender and bergamot and lemon and orange blossom. Very enjoyable and satisfying. The blend of scent notes working in harmony.

A highly perfumed and attractive everyday perfumed incense from Koya. Machine extruded charcoal paste on a machine cut bamboo stick which had been impregnated with a bold cologne type scent. This is a professionally made perfumed stick - well made and long burning. It is not an aggressive scent, but is very strong and confident, which is admirable, but may not always be welcome. It's a fairly masculine scent with notes of cedar, musk, cologne, bergamot, and sage.
For those who want a splash of bold, invigorating, masculine scent to wake up the house and give it confidence, then this will do. It's not an incense for meditation or study, or for tender moments. But for what it is, it's bloody good!
