They were at the budget end of the market, offering retailers an option of cheaply made and novelty incense for customers who simply wish for something basic, though they also sold masala incense.

Conclusion: Cheap and nasty. Incense can be basic and still decent, but Emporium cut costs too much, and made products that I should imagine few people wanted to buy again. Emporium are an example of the sort of cheap perfume-dipped incense that gives perfume-dipped incense a bad name. Not all perfume-dipped incense is like this.
