Emporium incense (out of business)

EmporiumUK.biz are were a UK (Rochdale) based importing business who also have had their own "cottage"  incense factories in Calcutta. [Added 2024:] The company was founded in 1997, but got into financial problems in 2019, and was formally closed in 2021, though continued to sell "clearance stock" via FaceBook

They distributed incense, and also had their own brands which are made in India and Thailand. Among their brands were Divine Spirit  and the small Spiritual Sky.  They were at the budget end of the market, offering retailers an option of cheaply made and novelty incense for customers who simply wish for something basic, though they also sold masala incense

Conclusion: Cheap and nasty. Incense can be basic and still decent, but Emporium cut costs too much, and made products that I should imagine few people wanted to buy again. Emporium are an example of the sort of cheap perfume-dipped incense that gives perfume-dipped incense a bad name. Not all perfume-dipped incense is like this.
