Continuing the samples from UK incense importer Gokula-incense that I received in May 2013 so are not indicative of what a fresh pack would be like. The more interesting samples I will buy fresh, and review again. This sample is of an incense by Radha Madhav of Mumbai.
I have found Radha Madhav to be a decent though modest masala incense house. Good for everyday use to cleanse, refresh, and perfume the house, but nothing special. Pretty average really.
This is a fairly dry incense, with some prickly notes, a fair degree of heat, and an aroma more of burning slightly green wood than lavender. It's quite sombre. There's a feel of a tired, hot, late Mediterranean night - scorched earth, dried citrus, old pine trees. It's not unattractive, but it's not giving me much of a feel good vibe.
