I've already reviewed this scent on the stick, Fumino Autumn Breeze, where I found it moderately likeable. Though it's the same scent, the process of making a stick is different to that of making a cone, so the scent is diffused differently. I find cones convenient, but I prefer the way that scent is diffused from a stick.
The scent on the cone is sharp, fresh, cologne, prickly volatile, mushroom, freshly cut mild onion, lemon, lavender, cologne again, and some old, rubbed leather. It's actually not as interesting or attractive as that list suggests. It comes across as cheap and common. It's like getting a whiff of a cheap supermarket men's perfume freshly sprayed on the back of your wrist. The acidity and volatility put you off exploring further. Yet, there are pleasant notes that emerge in time, but you kind of shrug them off because you've already set your mind that this is a cheap perfume, and of course it's gonna smell cheap.

The burn does reveal some of the deeper pleasant scents beneath the acid volatility of the top notes. The woody, musky, and yes - sexy, notes now come through. The top notes are still there (they are so strong, they survive the burn), so their citric floral notes add balancing counter-points. Yeah, this is an OK everyday perfumed cone. It's a well made incense. Whoever makes this for Fumino are an experienced and decent incense house - one that we will know about: third generation, based in Bangalore. All guesses or suggestions are welcome.
