A straightforward everyday perfumed incense from BIC based on a simple sandalwood scent. This is a modest but fairly decent incense with an acceptable everyday perfume. This is warm, scented, attractive, harmless. There's nothing special about this, but it does what you expect it to, and does it well. Sticks are 9 inches long with 7 inches of neatly rolled charcoal paste on a hand-cut bamboo splint with the tip dyed green. The sticks burn for around 60 minutes.
The 7 African Lions seems to relate to 7 African Powers or the Orisha, and HEM have both a 7 African Powers and a 7 African Lions incense, as do some other incense houses. It's clearly a popular theme. They appear, understandably, to be sold mainly in Africa.
I like the warmth and the sweet, gentle, consistent scent of sandalwood. There are berry fruit and floral notes to balance and enhance the sandalwood. I really like this scent accord. I'm happy to burn these sticks in the house - create an everyday warm, inviting, comfortable atmosphere. Not a special incense, but simple, unpretentious, straightforward, and does what you want and what you expect.
