Stamford Lavender (cones)

Second review - scroll down for earlier

Oooh, that delicious candy sweetness you get from many of Aargee's incenses. I really like it. This is fresh and uplifting with wafts of lavender that remind me of evenings in Provence. Nice.

First review

These are pleasantly candy-sweet, like much of Aargee's perfumed cones (Stamford are a brand name used by the British importers Aargee). There isn't much sense of lavender, though there is some floral character. It's an OK everyday incense. It cleans a room, and creates a relaxing atmosphere. Ah. Hmmm. Yes, I am picking up some lavender notes now. Yes, a dried lavender scent. Quite nice. I like these.

[2025 note: I have re-reviewed a number of Stamford incenses in 2025 (and earlier), and in all cases moved the score down. The average score for Stamford incense is 25  I've just reviewed the stick version of  the Lavender that Stamford sell, and scored it 29. In conclusion I feel the 2015 score for this incense is not reliable, and am applying the same score of 29 which I gave the stick until such time as I re-review this Stamford Lavender in cone form].
