Nandita Dragon Blood

Second review - scroll down for earlier

This is a fresh pack which I got in an online bundle deal.  The scent on the stick is like perfumed sandalwood and jasmine soap. There's also a whiff of toilet cleaner in the air. Hmm.

The scent on the burn is more attractive. Difficult to pin down and describe. It is mildly sweet and resinous. It has both a mineral and a gourmand quality. Though sweet, it feels neutral. There's a sense of balance and harmony. There's some melting plastic notes which are not unpleasant. It is a curious scent, and I can sense that on a bad day I would go against this, but today I am drawn to it. I'm not carried away by the scent, but I do find it attractive and compelling.

First review

Typical perfumed masala incense stick. Kinda pleasant and mildly interesting scent on the stick. Vanilla, dried onions, something cool and mineral, old socks, minor floral notes, some odd earthy notes, quite dirty, a bit like poo. Not great, but not bad either. Fairly neutral. I bought this and a bunch of other Nandita incenses from the OnlineLondonStore as part of a low cost deal because I wanted to explore Nandita further after some very positive experiences. But, while the incenses from the batch have generally been OK, they have been less than what I was expecting, and I wonder if they were old stock being sold off cheap.

The scent on the burn is a little harsh and sharp for my taste, Quite prickly and a little irritating to my eyes and throat even though I am some distance away from the burning stick. It's fairly green and herby with some lesser elements of patchouli - lacking the sweet musky part which I love. It's generally OK, but it doesn't really lift or excite me.
