(Lovely Incense) Three Lotus / Himalayan Flower White Musk

Last year I reviewed two packets of Nepal incense branded Eyes of The Lord Buddha: Pancha Buddha and Royal Nepal. A reader told me they were made by  Lovely Incense, who have a shop in Kathmandu, and that they had changed the brand name to Flora Incense. Well, I picked up three Nepal incense branded Three Lotus from a UK clothing website, Wicked Dragon, where they are sold as Himalayan Flower Incense - presumably due to each packet being decorated with a pressed Himalayan flower. Lovely Incense website sells Natural Himalayan Incense, as does another Kathmandu based online store - Incense Nepal, where they call it Flora Incense. I have written to Lovely Incense and Incense Nepal hoping they'll be able to provide confirmation that this incense is made (or commissioned) by Lovely Incense. And it would also be useful to know what they are actually called.

The sticks appear like standard Indian masala incense - 6 inches of paste hand-rolled onto an 8 inch plain bamboo splint. There is a very faint perfumed aroma on the stick. Very faint. It's kinda clean and lightly floral like a cheap everyday feminine body-mist.

The scent on the burn is scorching sandalwood with some mild perfume - so mild I couldn't pin it down to anything. But is was more floral than musk. The impression I get is that this is sandalwood powder which has been impregnated with a liquid scent - essential oil, fragrance oil, perfume, whatever. The result is rather closer to East Asian incense - Thailand, Vietnam or China, than either India or Tibet.
