Berk Innere Welten (Inner World) are a German importer and wholesaler of Indian goods. They were founded by the Berk family in 1991, and are based in Stockach. They market their own brand incense, much of which is made on an unspecified ashram in India, which is likely to be the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, which makes incense for The Mother's and others. Berk's Ambrosia is a rebadged HMS Blue Lotus.

Conclusion: Rebadged incense is not my thing, I'd rather have the incense direct from the source. That said, if I like the incense itself, I will give it a good score. Berk source mainly from the ashram used by Cottage Industries and related rebadge companies such as The Mother's. I find the incense from that source to be acceptable, and at times pleasant, though a little one dimensional, old-fashioned, dry and spiky. They also source from HMS, who also supply a large number of own label companies. I like some of HMS incense, though the sweetness and inconsistency can at times be off-putting. So, Berk don't create their own incense, and they use the two sources whose incense are everywhere under different names, and which in general is not to my taste. So, while on the whole I found the incense to be fairly decent or acceptable everyday stuff, they are not a provider that interests me. I'll not be hunting any more from Berk.
