(Wonder Incense) New Moon Aromas Fruit Planet Natural Incense

This is a pleasant incense. It is part masala and part perfumed - a sort of perfumed masala, that appears to be quite common. There is a moist, fragrant charcoal paste which has been hand-rolled around a machine cut bamboo splint, then covered in a finishing wood powder, and at some point impregnated with a fragrant oil, possibly a blend of essential oils with some agarbatti oil (DEP).

There are solvent notes on the stick, but not heavy, and the perfume is attractive - quite musky with berry fruits, cherry and raspberry. There is a sense of wood and leather. Nice.  The scent on the burn is quiet, though not shy. The scents on the stick do make their way gently, but firmly, across the room. Though there are fruit notes, and the incense is called Fruit Planet, it is the woody, musky notes that make the biggest impression. There is a soft, dark, musky sweetness to this. It is warm and gently seductive, an incense, perhaps, for early evening. It is calming and relaxing with a naughty but refined sexuality. I like it.

15g packs available in the UK from ScentedAndMore for £2.50, and TheHolisticEmporium for £1.50; in Germany from GoodStrip for 3.75 Euros (as of Feb 2022, reduced to 1.88 Euros); in New Zealand from RivenDell for $4.50; and in Australia from TragicBeautiful for $2.95.  It does not appear to be available in America.

^ Based on my experience with other New Moon incenses, I intend to come back and re-review this one because of the significant irritation caused by chemical content in other New Moon incenses.
