Green Tree Vajrayana Buddhist Tantra Incense Cones

Available in the UK from ScentedandMore for £2.50, this is a perfumed charcoal cone, imported and badged by the Dutch distributors, Green Tree.  The packaging is dreamy hippy - kinda cute and colourful. The brand is mainly available as sticks, and can be bought from MyIncenseStore in Australia, and ExoticIncense in the US.

The scent on the cone is really quite delicious and interesting - there's a lot going on here. It's perfumed, but the perfume has been well made. It's sweet, woody and floral with some spice notes, so it's covering a wide range. There's a sense of Parma Violets (which always gets my interest) - and, luckily, Phocea had some to hand, so we were able to compare, and - yep - Parma Violets it is! Parma Violets with lavender, wood - more pine than sandalwood, musk, patchouli, and perhaps a bit of jasmine. Bloody hell, it's gorgeous!

It's warm and musky on the burn. Quite delicious. I like this. There's some muggy notes on the burn, which take some of the joy away, but on the whole this is a damn fine perfumed incense. A lot better than I expected, to be honest.
