Burning incense to invoke luck or wealth is fairly common in India, and a number of incenses are explicitly named to cater to this.
This is a hand-rolled incense from Nandita, the incense brand of Acharya Products, a chain of incense shops in and around Mumbai. The quality in the Nandita range is variable, but the better ones can be quite exquisite. The scent on this stick is exquisite, so I'm hopeful that the burn will be equally delightful. The scent is quite floral and powdery and sweet. It is perhaps a little too focused on the sweet florals for my taste (I prefer darker scents), but I find it quite compelling and intoxicating in a sort of feminine or girly way. This is pure Barbie doll! It's so pink!
The scent on the burn is light, pleasant, with some of the girly florals on the stick, though not as heady or sweet. It disperses gently, and is fairly clean and refreshing, though there is an edge of smoke which detracts from the florals. Yeah, it's a nice scent. Not sure it's one I'd associate with money or gold, though.
