Bought from Temu at 20g for £1.04 at time of purchase. Manufacturer is given as Jinjiang Jinxiangyi Trading Co of Jinjiang, Quanzhou in Fujian, China - yet the packaging and logo is the same as that of Shamen Ha'Zhong of Tong'an, Xiamen, shown as the manufacturers of
Al Cao Xlang. My conclusion is that these are convenience or virtual addresses in order for Temu to export around the world without paying import tax. I suspect that they are made by the same manufacturer, which I am listing as Fujian Incense.
Lao Shan Tan Xiang translates as Old Mountain Sandalwood. Old Mountain Sandalwood is the Chinese name for sandalwood from India (sandalwood from Australia is called New Mountain).

There is a faint soapy perfume scent on the cold sticks. Quite pleasant in an everyday creamy perfumed soap way. Nothing to get excited about, but nothing offensive either. The scent on the burn is soft, pleasant, inoffensive everyday clean, white sandalwood. I'm not sure how much these are different to the Old Mountain Sandalwood in the short packet - if at all. They could just be different sizes of the same incense. However, I find these sticks bolder and more colourful and rewarding. Not by much, but - for me - enough to find these longer sticks more enjoyable and uplifting.
