Temu (Fujian Incense) Agarwood

99p for 5g from Temu. These same sticks are available from Shein and AliExpress for around the same price (prices vary daily). The standard size sticks offer better value - prices are around £1.05 for 20g. Whatever the size, all of them offer good value if you like the delicate aroma of Japanese incense - particularly the "daily incense" style.

The scent on the stick is quite powdery sweet, with notes of green tea, candy sugar, and bubblegum. Quite curious and appealing. The scent on the burn is soft and delicate, though quite noticeable even with one stick burning (however, I'm generally happier  burning two or three at the same time). It is quite green, sweet, woody. Elements of green tea, of marijuana, of delicate wood, some florals, some citric, some talc or baby powder, a touch of pine. Bloody good actually!

So far I have been fairly resistant to the appeal of Asian style incense - finding it too wood based, too delicate, too boring, too dry, too mono-scented. But these delicate and refined Fujian Incense sticks have been rather pleasing, and this Agarwood has really impressed me, and is turning my mind regarding Asian incense, and Chinese incense in particular.

Yeah. I really like this. Kinda love it actually!
