£1.06 for a 20g pack of 40 sticks from Temu. Chen Hua Ya Bai is Thuja, a "false" cedar in the cypress family which grows in China. The Sichuan Thuja, which only grows on the southern slope of the Daba Mountains in the Sichuan province, was harvested almost to extinction due to the popularity of its fragrant wood. The Sichuan Thuja is now protected. The fragrance here would not come from the Sichuan Thuja, and may be synthetic or come from another Thuja tree.
There is a dark wood scent, with spicy pine and citric cypress notes, and a touch of warm red cedarwood. It is a very attractive melange of winter woods. Quite spicy, fresh, and uplifting. Gosh, I like this. It feels fresh, invigorating, uplifting, and quite natural. Yummy! I wasn't expecting something this nice at this price from China.
