Temu (Jinjiang Jiulong Technology) Lavender

Chinese coil incense from Temu at 40 pieces for £1.50 at time of purchase (price appears to fluctuate a lot). Made by Jinjiang Jiulong Technology of Jinjiang, Quanzhou in Fujian, China.

Cute shape. I'm not used to these coils. I used to have a coil burner, but I've mislaid it (probably up in the loft). I have no ash or sand, so I used pebbles and grass seed. Neither were very successful. I then made up a makeshift coil hanger using a pair of incense tongs, and that worked OK.   I have now got a funky brass burner for these coils - which appear to be called Small Auspicious Cloud coils or tablets. It came with a Temu purchase of Small Auspicious Cloud Sandalwood coils.

There's a mild fragrance of floral perfumed soap on the cold coil - kind of herby. I could be pushed into seeing it as lavender. As with most Chinese incense I've burned, the aroma of the smouldering wood base when the coil was lit tended to dominate for me. At a distance, there was a mild purple flower and herb scent. Soft. Reasonably pleasant. A bit of fun.
